Just attended a great svc ytd and this morning by Dr Rev A.R.Bernard. Really thought that the sermons were good as it renew my mind once again and a word just in season for my life. :) Just quickly jot down what are some of the points that i had written in my notes..

-Adam committed a sin through DISOBEDIENCE.
-Sin is the matter of the heart.
-Deal with the CAUSE, not only the symptoms.
-Without law, grace has no meaning.
-The problem is IDOLATRY =) Seeking security and meaning in someone or something other than Jehovah God.
-Every temptation is based on idolatry.
-If you want to straighten out your life, you got to straighten out YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
-My identity should always be in OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, and based on the WORD OF GOD.
-Real needs in our lives will always be a basis of temtation.
-Reasoning doesn't mean no faith because we will always go through some process of reasoning before coming into the decision of faith.

FAITH =) Intellectually(Mind), Emotionally(Heart, Emotion), Volitionally(Will, Choice).

When talking about faith, i was just reminded of the story of God asking Abraham to sacrifice Issac on that altar. It does really require faith but God didnt really want to kill Issac, but was just a testing for Abraham. God wanted Abraham to put Him as priority and not Issac, his miracle son from God. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Obedience and trust in His provision is what God is seeking daily in every area of our lives, especially in the area of our real needs.
