Come Thirsty (Accept His Work)

Recently i am reading 'come thirsty' that i've borrowed from tingting. It is a book that i am longing to read since months ago.. Just dotting down some notes as i read..

*Sin sees the world with no God in it. Where we might think of sin as slip-ups or missteps, God views sin as a godless attitude that leads to godless actions.

*The sinful mind dismisses God, His counsel goes unconsulted, His opinion goes unsolicited and His plan goes unconsidered. The sin-infected grant God the same respect middle-schoolers give a substitute teacher-acknowledged, but NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

*The lack of God-centeredness leads to self-centeredness. Sin celebrates its middle letter-sIn. The godless lead a me-dominated, childish life, a life of 'doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it'.

So what must i do to be saved? =) Put your ENTIRE TRUST in the master JESUS

Isaiah 53:5-6, 12 (He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through His bruises we get healed.. God has piled all our sins, everything we've done wrong on him, on him.. He took on His own shoulders the sin of the many, He took up the cause of all the black sheep.)

*Christ responds to universal sin with universal sacrifice, taking on the sins of the entire world. This is Christ's work for you. He not only took your place on the cross; He takes His place in your heart.

*When you choose to acknowledge that, God's resistance becomes your resistance. Sin may entice you, but will NEVER enslave you. Sin may, and will touch you, discourage you, and distract you, but it cannot condemn you.

Roman 8:1 (There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus)

*Take frequent, refreshing drinks for His well of frace. You need regular reminders that you are not fatally afflicted. Don't live as though you are.

Trust God's work in you! We sinned and may sin once in a while. But as much as possible, let's stay away from the sinful path. When we sin, we repent by confessing and forsaking. Devil may condemn us of the past sins but we bind it and trust that when God forgives, He forgets. So we move on and continue to approach the throne of God with faith and boldness. God never intended to condemn us so we must not be over-righteous to condemn ourselves and put ourselves to the lowest. Thank you Jesus for refreshing my life once again. :)
