Recently i just finished reading the book by Rev Benny Hinn 'Going Deeper with the Holy Spirit'. It is a gift by Carita, my COC, during FOP 2008! I believe it's a nice book so i decide to type and reflect it in my blog. It's for all to see and digest as well as for myself.. :)
(The Work of the Holy Spirit)
* One of the greatest things the Holy Spirit does is to change people! He changes people from the inside out- their lives, their circumstances, their perspectives. There are 28 acts that He can do through you and me!
1) He'll change the way you hear.
The Holy Spirit takes you beyond hearing with your ears and helps you listen with your heart, He gives you the understanding that comes from listening with your heart (spiritual hearing), in addition to the knowledge that comes from listening with your ears (physical hearing).
2) He'll change the way you speak.
The Holy Spirit gives us new languages, and in so doing, tames our tongues to His use, frees our spirits, renews our minds, refreshes our bodies, and brings power to witness.
3) He'll change your appearance.
People with a strong anointing of the Holy Spirit on their lives look young, regardless of their age. Their eyes sparkle, and they have physical strength. The life of the Holy Spirit on the inside of them will change the way the look on the outside and their whole countenance will reflect an inner work of God's presence. The Holy Spirit even changes the way you look.
4) He'll change your behavior.
You will become bold against satan and all his forces. You will become different- fearless and without apprehension and proclaiming the message of the gospel with confidence.
A relationship with the Holy Spirit gives you, among other gifts, three kinds of boldness: boldness to come before God, boldness with other people, and boldness against satan.
