Have been reading this book 'wide awake' and came across these and thought it would be good to blog it down and reflect on it.

If you are going to discover the life God created you to live, you have to learn how to say no to all the other options. And the tough choices aren't between good and evil, but between the all the equally good options out there hat are simply not the right paths for you.

Focus gives you the capacity to say no to all the other great and wonderful opportunities that come and to say no to those devastating choices that will jeopardize your future.

Do you ever struggle with feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities and opportunities? This alone can cause you to lose your focus. It's easy to lose sight of where you're headed and why you are going there when there is so much need and opportunity. If you don't lock into the life God has called you to live, you will find yourself pulled and torn by everyone else's desire and expectation for your life.

If you don't have a purpose for your life, there are plenty of people who will be happy to give you theirs. If you do not develop the ability to say no to many important things, you are going to lose the big yes of your life.

You may just care so much that you are pulled in every direction by every need in every situation, and you take on responsibility for the whole world.

Clarity comes from knowing who you are and what really matters to you.
